Introduction
Our policy guides staff, volunteers and students on how to behave with kids in our organisation. The policy focuses on how we can promote kids’ participation in our organisation and make it safer for them.
Support Kids’ Participation
Ferrymead Bays supports the active participation of kids in our organisation. We listen to kids’ views, respect what they say and involve them when we make decisions, especially about matters that will directly affect them.
Recruitment
Our organisation will maintain a rigorous and consistent recruitment, screening and selection process.
Dealing with complaints
We understand that occasionally matters arise in football that give rise to concern or complaint. The first point of contact for any complaint is the coach and/or manager of your team. The next point, or first point if it is not appropriate to involve the coach and/or manager, is the Community Development Manager. The Community Development Manager will then deal with the complaint in conjunction with the Club President or other senior Committee members as directed by the President. If necessary, the complaint will be referred to Mainland Football, who oversee football administration in the region which our Club is a member of.
