Former patron of the Ferrymead Bays Football Club, ex-Christchurch City councillor David Cox, sadly passed away last week.
In addition to his busy local political life, David was patron of the Club for many years and was often seen at local games and
end-of-year functions. With a love of football, he assisted where he could to help the Club and did it all with a smile and a great
sense of humour.
The Club passes on its sympathies to David's wife Fiona and his children and grandchildren.

Contratulations to Jago Godden from last year's 15th grade squad, who received an offer from the Wellington Phoenix to play and train with their 15s this year. Jago is now boarding at Scots College in Wellington and enjoying his time in a professional training environment - but missing his Mum's home cooking.
Will Charles from last year's 14ths also received an offer but decided not to take it up at this point in time.
Only 4 players from the South Island were offered positions and with 2 of them coming from Ferrymead Bays, that's pretty good.
